Where to start???

Wow, lots has been going on with us the last couple of months...so I don't know where to start. Barkley had to have surgery to repair a torn achilles tendon (not cheap), JT is playing on his second soccer team (The Rugrats) and I'm the head coach, Reese is getting bigger by the day, she's starting to rollover, and she loves to smile and laugh. Let's see what else...Jessica and I are doing great. I'm playing in a Men's soccer league and Jessica is getting ready to make her long awaited return to the tennis court. Took Reese to her first wedding (Wayne's) and let JT go to a friends instead of getting told NO all night. The new seasons of Survivor and Amazing Race are underway and are just starting to get really good! JT and I started going geocaching (check it out at www.geocaching.com) it's basically hiking with a GPS looking for coordinates where people have left a cache (treasure). It's a lot of fun, get's us outdoors, and introduces us to new areas of town we might NOT have gone to otherwise (I highly recommend it). Did I mention a new Wahoo's Fish Taco opened up in 4S Ranch about 4 miles from our house :) That's enough for now....on to some pics.

Reese's first trip to Disneyland and JT breaks the 40" mark and can hit the big boy rides!!!

Last week we went up to Disneyland for the day and had a great time. The weather was beautiful! This was Reese's first time there, and JT is now over 40" tall and can ride almost all of the rides in the park. JT's favorite rides were his usual Buzz Lightyear and the train (because you see Dinosaurs on it), but he also liked going on Star Tours for the first time and loved Thunder Mountain because of the T-Rex bones sticking out of the mountain (we went on it 4 times in a row). He also liked Pirates of the Caribbean now that we've read comics about it and they've added Captain Jack Sparrow to the ride. Reese did fine all day and wasn't even phased when going on Pirates and the Haunted House. All in all it was probably the best day we've had at Disneyland and I can't wait to go back now that we have our season passes. Did I mention that I had the highest score in all of Disneyland on the Buzz Ride (I'll admit that the ride did stop for a minute or so while I continued to shoot at targets and rack up points) and if you haven't been on Rockin' Space Mountain with music from the Red Hot Chili Peppers and crazy lighting...I highly recommend it!!!

Vegas, Baby, Vegas

We had too much fun in Vegas not for it to have it's own blog. Below are pics from our 3 days in The Happiest Place on Earth (oh wait that's Disneyland) I mean Sin City (if you can call it that when you go with a 3 and a half year old and a less than 3 month old baby. Anyway, I highly recommend that everyone goes to Vegas to crash at Scott and Kristin's. They've got an awesome new house, with 2 guestrooms that are ready and waiting, a movie room with stadium seating and a view of the strip, a room with slots, pinball, and video games and much, much, more (yes, as you'll see below they even have a Dinosaur playground nearby...wonder who liked that)!

Happy New Year!!!

The holidays have come and gone and I figure I better put some new info and pics up here since it's been over a month...again. We had a great Christmas with both Jessica's parents and brother as well as my parents coming up to Poway. Reese and JT were given more attention than they know what to do with. JT's already enormous collection of Dinosaur stuff grew exponentially and Reese got a lot of very cute little girl clothes. JT also got a big boy bike from Santa and has been riding it all around the backyard, nearby parks, the beach, and even in Las Vegas. We ended up going to our friends Scott and Kristin's for Jessica's birthday and for UFC 66 Chuck vs. Tito!!! Jessica, JT, and Reese attended their first UFC weigh-ins with me and Scott, Fern, Dusty and I made it to the event to see Chuck KO Tito in the 3RD round. All in all we all had a very happy holidays and are excited about 2007. I'm expecting this to be the year that I finally get the call from Survivor ;) yes I just sent in my video for Survivor 15. Is it just me or do we really need our favorite TV shows to start back up again? Congrats to LT on his MVP award and T Gwynn on getting inducted into the MLB Hall of Fame. GO CHARGERS!!!!!

Turkey Day 2006

We spent Thanksgiving this year at Jessica's Aunt and Uncle's in Rolling Hills Estates in the LA area. It was nice to see family, some of which we hadn't seen in a couple years and to be able to relax while others fight over holding Reese. JT had a great time running around the house and playing will Jessica's cousins Kelly, Connie, and Patrick....and Coco the dog of course! After leaving their house on Friday we headed to the LA Natural History Museum (across the street from USC, go Trojans!!!) so that JT could check out the dinosaur exhibits. Needless to say we had a great time at the museum and JT really liked the HUGE T-Rex / Triceratops statues that were out front of the museum. From there it was on to Laguna Beach to stop at Kirk's Uncle Ben's house overlooking the ocean and to visit with all of his family. Kirk you better keep an eye on you your niece Chloe, she was making some major moves on my man JT :) We got back to Poway late Friday night (where we had to watch Survivor from the night before) and had a nice weekend capped off by big victories from USC and the San Diego Super Chargers! Now a few days to catch our breath before needing to put up the X-mas decorations and get ready for the holiday season.

Better late than never

Amazing how things like work and having 2 kids catches up with you. It's been over a month since I posted any news on the Gould family or any recent pics of the kids. Below are some new pics of JT and Reese including Halloween (yes, JT was a dinosaur)....a T-Rex to be exact. Eventhough he points out that his costume has 3 claws on each hand and T-Rex's only have 2 claws on each hand.

Yes, CBS is looking for people for Survivor 15 and my new application and video are in the works (I tried to post the link to the app but it messes up my entire page so go to www.cbs.com and look for it if you are interested). Maybe when I'm done, I'll try to upload a link to my 14TH audition video to see what you all think? More pics from the Thanksgiving holiday coming soon.

Big Brother JT

It's been a little over a week and JT is doing a great job as a big brother! He asks to hold his baby sister a lot and likes giving her kisses, hugs, and touching her face (it didn't hurt that she started off her relationship with him by giving him MEGA T-Rex....which he's been wanting for months). JT also helps us by telling us when Reese is crying (as if we didn't know) and throwing away her dirty diapers :) Reese is doing very well and lists sleeping and eating as her favorite activities. I'm back at work and today is Jessica's first day by herself with both kids...good thing she's got such a good little helper in JT ;) Below are a few pictures from the last week, including a couple of JT at the Poway fire station open house last weekend.

Like usual, I'm enjoying Survivor the location\scenery is great and the challenges are very cool this season!!! I can't believe Smith was cancelled after only 3 episodes (maybe I was the only person watching it). Lost is good and as wacky and confusing as ever. How I met your mother is very funny, Studio 60 is my favorite new show, and Amazing Race is entertaining but would be better with Golding and I on it!

House Remodel

We've been talking about doing an addition and/or remodel to our house for the last year or so. This summer we decided with a baby on the way, that we should get started on a remodel and try to get everything finished before the new addition arrives. Well, as of today (10/3) everything is done except stucco on the back of the house (which is hapening today) and our new fireplace mantel being installed (which is still being built). It's taken a little over 2 months, but we are very happy with the way things have turned out! I'm going to post some before and after pictures of things we changed below:
